Silvana’s Dessert Academy is a professionally run dessert and baking school where your child can join other students in a fun and creative professional environment, while learning lifelong kitchen skills. The Academy is run by pastry chef and dessert caterer Silvana Junge, who prides herself in using only fresh, local, and mostly organic ingredients in both her classes, and her confections.

Silvana’s Specialty Desserts is a unique, Seattle-based dessert catering company that embraces everything we stand for here in the Northwest. Aside from creating decadent confections for all occasions, Silvana takes pride in running an environmentally friendly business and only uses fresh, local and organic ingredients, including eggs from her own free-range, organically fed chickens.

Originally from Brazil, Silvana left her career as a dentist to pursue her true passion in life: creating delicious, inspired desserts. As pastry chef at Tango restaurant in downtown Seattle, Silvana decided to pursue her dream of starting her own business.

Dear Chef Silvana,

I want to thank you for the wonderful cooking camp. Nathan brought home five delicious dishes every day and learned different cooking techniques. He took pride in his creations and was excited about cooking. He has made several cakes after the camp. I’ve been learning the recipes with him every Sunday since then. So I’m indirectly learning from you too.
